When I became a Christian, a good deal of what I had been thinking and doing all my life fell down like a house of cards. Motivated by a strong desire to serve God, today I write about one of the most important habits of a genuine believer.
-----Dear Raquel,
YOU MUST NOW TRAIN THE HABIT OF FAITH. You can't just wake up one morning and say, "I don't feel like praying today, I am not in the mood. I don't really feel like worshiping God right now." Praying is a spiritual discipline and it must be done intelligently. Being a follower of God is a serious decision (which you have already made a few years ago) as your faith will doubtless be exercised in times of pain and suffering. Either you will trust God completely, or you will not trust Him at all. It's simply unacceptable to allow your changing moods to rule your reason. God will not judge you as if you had no difficulties to overcome. TRUST means allowing God to work on your behalf because He knows what's best for you, even if you have to wait a little longer.
Sincerely,
Sincerely,
Your Christian Self
Isaiah 64:4 From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who acts for those who wait for him.
Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.
My ultimate goal :: To wake up at exactly 5:00 AM, read the Bible, pray and meditate - DAILY, for the rest of my life
